Water Lillles

Water Lillies are native to Eastern North America from Florida to Canada. They can be found in still shallow water with mucky bottoms. The water lily flowers open in the morning and remain open until around noon and are a fairly common sight along roadsides with the right water conditions.

Reddish Egret

I was disappointed in the quality of this photo of the Reddish Egret known for its manic feeding style of sprinting, jumping, and spinning around in shallow water with its wings held up.
